Hayden Place guerrilla
Those grandiose guerrilla gardeners are one thing, but I have a lot of love for the other end of the spectrum.
Walking past the newsagent on Victoria Street, I did a double take when I spied this little garden.

It’s not necessarily there for posterity. But it’s beautiful.

More, please.

We did a double take as well when we passed this the other day. I keep checking on it every time I go past to make sure no-one’s kicked it over!
There’s a little doorway with rushes and reeds growing out of it further up the lane too.
Beautiful

Thanks for this example of micro horticulture. I’ve posted a couple more at http://www.meganix.net/pavement/2009/05/29/garden-borders/

Just discovered this blog. Oh how I miss living in Darlo. :( Glebe’s great and all, but I miss living on Victoria Street.
