So this is what culture is
As I was out spotting Mardi Gras carnage this morning, I came across something I had not noticed before.
It’s on Crown Street, at the foot of the “No Stopping” sign outside Urban Uprising, near the corner of Campbell Street.

A cement sculpture of a teddy bear and a mobile phone. They are fixed to the pavement.

Does the bear say “culture?”
Or perhaps “vulture” or “sculpture?”
Intriguing.

Lots of these mobile phones (by the same artist) are spread around Newtown / Enmore. He also does some television / computer screens.

I think you’ll find one of these phones at the base of a pole outside of Aero, corner Bourke and Fitzroy, Surry.

I love this blog too – it makes me look more carefully at what I see when I walk around the many new neighbourhoods I visit these days.

Alas this poor little bear became mashed up very soon after I glued him down. Don’t worry, there’s plenty more where he came from! Thanks for sharing him. :)
