Romantic robot
We noticed this lonely looking robot at the end of the right-angled cul-de-sac, Little Surrey Street, several days ago.

We snapped a photo, naturally, but didn’t quite get around to doing anything more. That is, until Kym Chapple tweeted another robot sighting in the neighbourhood.

He – has to be a he, right? – is on the corner of Craigend Street and Oswald Lane.
There’s something I like about robots in love. It’s part of the reason I love Mari Velonaki‘s beautiful robotic creations, could be the relic of a childhood reading Asimov novels. Whatever, I like it. More romantic robots.
Brought to you by the letter I
Itching to crack the chalk alphabet code?
One of our readers, Fred, dropped the letter I into our inbox this week.

He came across it on Oswald Lane.
Come to think of it, I passed by “A is for Azimuth” on Friday, on Barcom Avenue, just near Oswald Lane, and I am sure there was another entry for “Z”, but not for “Zipper”.
Will have to go back and check it out. Perhaps it was done by the copycats.
D is for Darlinghurst Nights
Our occasional contributor BT picked up on one of these quaint (and informative) chalk pieces on the wall of a house on Oswald Lane, Darlinghurst, in May.
Two months later, there’s more. This time on Liverpool Street.

They’re taken with a phone, so the resolution isn’t great.

Pretty charming stuff, I’d love to get photos of the whole alphabet…

We’d also love to know who’s behind these adorable chalk pieces of graffiti. Keep them coming whoever you are.
The C word
Two ‘c’ words from very different ends of the street art spectrum.

One is a quaint (and informative) chalk piece I noticed on the wall of a house on Oswald Lane, Darlinghurst.
The other is Andy Uprock’s latest offering, on the corner of Flinders and South Dowling streets. I hope his cups are recycled, or at least biodegradable.
From Oswald Lane to where
Our occasional contributor BT picked this one up a while ago.

Apparently a few of these metaphysical additions to the council’s street signage have appeared recently.
