Remote control for the fear
I spotted this object glued to the kerb of Taggarts Lane, Surry Hills – a stone remote control that says “FEAR.”

It’s by Will Coles, whose cute teddy bear and mobile phone appeared on Crown Street in February. The bear said “Culture,” while his other work says things like “Nothing” and “Burden” and “unfinished.”
Little dog lost
Walking along South Dowling Street last week, I spotted this little dog.

It reminds me of Will Coles‘ cement teddy, which I passed on Crown Street a few months back.

Nice carrot.
So this is what culture is
As I was out spotting Mardi Gras carnage this morning, I came across something I had not noticed before.
It’s on Crown Street, at the foot of the “No Stopping” sign outside Urban Uprising, near the corner of Campbell Street.

A cement sculpture of a teddy bear and a mobile phone. They are fixed to the pavement.

Does the bear say “culture?”
Or perhaps “vulture” or “sculpture?”
Intriguing.
